Roast Turkey

Classic Roast Turkey

⏱ 4 hours • Serves 10–12

Ingredients:
  • 1 whole turkey (12–15 lb)
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage)
  • 2 onions, 4 carrots, 4 celery stalks
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper

Steps:
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Rub turkey with herb butter, stuff cavity with aromatics.
  3. Place on rack in roasting pan with vegetables and broth.
  4. Roast ~15 min per pound, basting every 30 min.
  5. Rest 30 min before carving.
Gingerbread Cookies

Gingerbread Cookies

⏱ 2 hours • ~40 cookies

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ cup butter, ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, ½ cup molasses
  • Royal icing for decorating

Steps:
  1. Cream butter & sugar, add egg and molasses.
  2. Mix in dry ingredients, chill dough 1 hour.
  3. Roll out, cut shapes, bake 8–10 min at 350°F.
  4. Cool completely, then decorate!
Eggnog

Homemade Eggnog

⏱ 20 min + chill • Serves 8

Ingredients:
  • 6 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk, 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp vanilla
  • Optional: bourbon or rum

Steps:
  1. Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Heat milk & cream just to simmer, temper into eggs.
  3. Cook on low until 160°F, add nutmeg & vanilla.
  4. Chill 4+ hours. Spike if desired!
Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine (Glühwein)

⏱ 30 min • Serves 6

Ingredients:
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 orange (sliced)
  • 4 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 star anise
  • ¼ cup honey or sugar
  • Optional: splash of brandy

Steps:
  1. Combine everything in pot over medium heat.
  2. Heat until steaming (do NOT boil).
  3. Let steep 20 min, strain, serve hot.
Christmas Pudding

Traditional Christmas Pudding

⏱ 5 hours steaming

Ingredients:
  • 200g each raisins, currants, sultanas
  • 100g candied peel
  • 1 apple (grated), 150g suet
  • 150g brown sugar, 100g breadcrumbs
  • Spices, brandy

Tip: Make weeks ahead and “feed” with brandy!
Yule Log

Chocolate Yule Log (Bûche de Noël)

⏱ 2 hours

Ingredients (cake):
  • 4 eggs, 100g sugar, 65g flour, 35g cocoa
Filling: chocolate ganache + whipped cream
Decoration: meringue mushrooms, powdered sugar “snow”
Honey Glazed Ham

Honey-Glazed Christmas Ham

⏱ 3 hours

Glaze:
  • ½ cup honey, ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard, cloves for studding

Bake at 325°F, glaze last 45 min.
Peppermint Bark

Peppermint Bark

⏱ 30 min + chill

Ingredients:
  • 12 oz dark chocolate
  • 12 oz white chocolate
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • Crushed candy canes

Layer, chill, break into pieces. Perfect gift!
